Bianca Caravati
Graduada en el 2012 cum laude en (M.Sc.), Urban Planning and Policy Design, en la Universidad Politécnica de Milán.
Desde el 2012 estuve trabajando más de 4 años en Santiago de Chile como Urbanista en el Área de Gestión y Planificación Urbana, en el especifico en la Oficina Habiterra junto con Pablo Guzmán.
He participado al desarrollo de documentos y estudios relacionados con los planes reguladores comunales e intercomunales en los cuales la oficina estaba trabajando.
Esta experiencia me ayudó en aprender a trabajar y relacionarme con profesionales y clientes de distintas nacionalidades y distintos background como también implementar mis conocimientos en este ámbito especifico.
Volviendo a mi país en Italia en el especifico en Milán, he hecho una experiencia de un año en una grande compañía, BNP Paribas, gestionando el portafolio de inmuebles de la sociedad y en el especifico tratando los temas legales, de subsanación y de rehabilitación de los edificios.
Desde el 2017 trabajo como Client Service Manager en la empresa GEO Marketing, donde nos enfocamos en temas relacionados con el Geo-marketing, desarrollando proyectos verticales relacionados con temas de localización, nuevas aberturas, y también soluciones técnicas o web integradas con las plataformas tecnológicas de los clientes.
Trabajamos principalmente para la GDO y las administraciones públicas.
Me he especializado en el ámbito de suporte técnico (consultoría) y enseño como gestionar las bases de datos y como aprender a utilizar los softwares GIS integrados con las soluciones específicas de geomarketing.
En mi tiempo libre gestiono las actividades de comunicación de la sociedad.

Cristina Visconti
Cristina is an architect with a Ph.D. in Environmental Design at University of Naples Federico II about community-based adaptation strategies in context of socio-environmental vulnerability. Sha has been visiting Ph.D. student at the Habitat Unit, Technische Universität Berlin.
From 2013 she is a member of the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN)and she is contributing author of the chapter “Urban Planning and Design” in ARC3.2 Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities. She carried on several action-research projects in Italy and Chile for the co-production of resilience practices both as academic and activist.
Cristina is currently post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Architecture of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Santiago de Chile, a team member of the project “Multi-dimensional resilient design: Coupling Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation in Action” and part of the hybrid collective of the research “Occupy Climate Change” of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
Domingo Arteaga
El Embajador Arteaga estudió Ingeniería Civil Química en la Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile. A lo largo de su carrera profesional se ha desempeñado como gerente general y socio de diversas empresas. Entre los años 2010 y 2014 fue Director de Metro S.A.
Tiene una amplia trayectoria política, destacando por haber sido Presidente de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, además de Secretario General, Vicepresidente e integrante de la Comisión Política del partido Unión Demócrata Independiente.
Myriam Urzua

Arquitecta con especialización en hospitales y estudios de posgrado en Investigación y Docencia del Urbanismo y Urbanismo en la UNAM y Universidad de Chile. Diplomado de Posgrado en Ciencias Políticas y Sociales en Alemania (DDR).
40 años de experiencia profesional, incluyendo 6 años en diseño arquitectónico de hospitales en Cuba y 14 años en la institucionalidad de Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Urbano en México (SAHOP, SEDUE y SEDESOL).
Ha trabajado con Oficina Regional para América Latina y el Caribe del PNUMA ONU, el Sistema de Naciones Unidas de la Estrategia Internacional de Reducción de Desastres en República Dominicana y en Uruguay, División de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres y Prácticas Urbanas de América Latina (WB)
Ha participado como Coordinadora Técnica Regional para la Elaboración del Informe de Evaluación sobre Prevención y Reducción de Desastres en Centroamérica, y como miembro activo del Comité Científico Asesor del Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil sobre Ciencias Sociales de México.
Fue asesora de la Dirección de Vinculación Zona Centro en la Dirección General de Coordinación Metropolitana en la Subsecretaría de Ordenamiento Territorial de SEDATU y desarrolló el Marco Conceptual para Planes de Acción de Gestión de Riesgo para la elaboración de los Planes de Acción para la Gestión de Riesgo y el Plan de Gestión Integral de Riesgo de la Delegación Tlalpan 2018-2021.
Rodrigo Díaz
Rodrigo Díaz es arquitecto por la Universidad Católica de Chile y Master in City graduado en el MIT.
En México ha sido consultor Master en el Instituto del Fondo Nacional de Vivienda para los Trabajadores (INFONAVIT), y director de Investigación y Desarrollo en el Centro de Transporte Sustentable CTS EMBARQ México, y en el Institute for Transportation and Development Policy, ITDP México.
En la actualidad es el Subsecretario de Planeación, Políticas y Regulación en la Secretaría de Movilidad de la Ciudad de México.
Bernardita Devilat
Bernardita Devilat es Doctora en Diseño Arquitectónico de la Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL), Arquitecto y Magíster en Arquitectura de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Tiene experiencia como profesora en ambas instituciones. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen el uso de tecnologías para la intervención del patrimonio construido y la re-construcción de zonas patrimoniales afectadas por terremotos. Estos intereses partieron luego del terremoto de 2005 en Chile, cuando co-fundó el Proyecto Tarapacá. La obra principal de ese proyecto —una Biblioteca para la Comunidad— ha sido publicada varias veces y exhibida en el año 2010 en el Pabellón de Chile de la Expo Shanghai y de Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, así como también en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Chile. Desde 2005, ha estado estudiando estrategias de re-construcción para la vivienda en zonas patrimoniales. Su tesis de Magíster recibió dos premios en competencias nacionales y fue exhibida en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Chile en 2010. Trabajó en el Programa de Reconstrucción Patrimonial en el Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo de Chile luego del terremoto de 2010 en Chile.
El título de su tesis de doctorado fue: ‘Re-construcción y registro: explorando alternativas para zonas patrimoniales después de terremotos en Chile’, donde exploró el rol de las más avanzadas tecnologías de registro — como el escaneo láser 3D — in el contexto del patrimonio arquitectónico afectado por terremotos. El material gráfico de su doctorado ha sido premiado dos veces y exhibido varias veces en Londres. Bernardita ha presentado su investigación en conferencias, publicado en revistas, libros y ha exhibido internacionalmente.
Bernardita es también co-fundadora de DLA Scan Architectural Studio (www.devilat-lanuza.com), cuyo principal proyecto -3D Scan house- fue diseñado en Londres y construido en Chile, ha sido exhibido y publicado internacionalmente. Actualmente, es Investigadora Asociada en Patrimonio Arquitectónico y Urbano en Nottingham Trent University (NTU).
Camila Cociña
Investigadora del programa ‘Conocimiento en acción para la Igualdad Urbana’ (KNOW: Knowledge in Action for Urban Equality) en The Bartlett Development Planning Unit, University College London. Soy Doctora en Planificación del Desarrollo y MSc por University College London.
Mi práctica e investigación se han centrado principalmente en políticas de vivienda, procesos participativos, informalidad urbana y desigualdad, trabajando tanto en instituciones académicas como en ONGs independientes en Chile y el Reino Unido. Mi actual trabajo como parte de KNOW se centra en Sierra Leona, Cuba y el Sudeste asiático, trabajando con investigadores, organizaciones barriales y gobiernos locales promoviendo políticas que avancen la agenda de igualdad urbana.
Mi investigación de doctorado se centró en los desafíos que enfrentan las políticas de vivienda para reducir las desigualdades urbanas, en el contexto chileno. Soy parte del equipo editorial de ‘Radical Housing Journal’.
Juan Pablo Corral
Juan Pablo Corral es Arquitecto y Magíster en Arquitectura de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, y MSc en Diseño Urbano y Ciencias Sociales por la London School of Economics (2018).
Ha ejercido como profesor instructor en la PUC en cursos de teoría y taller. En el ámbito profesional, ha desarrollado proyectos o trabajado en oficinas de arquitectura y diseño urbano en Chile, Estados Unidos, Italia, China y Reino Unido. Actualmente trabaja como como Consultor Urbano en Londres y ha participado en diversos estudios relacionados a densificación urbana, capacidad, masterplanning e infraestructura regional.
Adicionalmente, lidera THE CIRCULAR, start-up que desarrolla e implementa soluciones de economía circular en la construcción de nuestras ciudades. Participó como speaker en el Think DIF de la Ellen MacArthur Foundation en 2018 y hoy se encuentra desarrollando el MVP de un cierre perimetral de obra inspirado en conceptos de economía circular.

Paola Alfaro d’Alençon is an Architect and holds doctoral degree in urban studies. She is funding member of the Urban Research and Design Laboratory (U-Lab, release 2012) at the Technische Universität Berlin, awarded with the “Label Nationale Stadtentwicklung” from the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development in Germany, visiting professor at the Dipartimento di Scienze per l’Architettura, Università degli Studi di Genova since 2016 for urban design an theory. Beside several urban research and design practices in the Berlin based U-Lab studio (office since 2014) she has also work experiences for national and international organizations in consultancy for urban governance processes and climate change frameworks. She has been part of the official European delegation at the Habitat III Conference in Quito for and sustainable planning and urban governance. She is co-author of several publications as Ephemere Stadtentwicklung (DOM Publisher Berlin, 2016) and co-editor of the recently finished publication “Emergent Urban Spaces – A Planetary Perspective”, The Urban Book Series, Springer Verlag, London, Berlin.
She started last year as a Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)-Research Fellow, associate Professor to the TU-Berlin and the P. Universidad Catolica de Chile with the research on: “Concepts of Co-production and its influence on the development of inclusive spaces – An international comparative study on theories and practices”. In this framework she is preparing for the German Bundestiftung Baukultur (Federal Building Culture Foundation) the German Baukultur Report 2020 for the work package public space and urban processes.

Arquitecta chilena de la Pontificia Universidad Católica (PUC) radicada en Berlín, Alemania. Doctorado DAAD en teoría de la arquitectura de la Technische Universität Berlin (TUB). Experiencia docente en la PUC y como asistente de la cátedra de »taller arquitectónico y construcción« Prof. Pasel de la TUB, así como profesora de teoría e historia de la arquitectura en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Bochum (HSBO).
El espectro de su praxis abarca desde prácticas de construcción regionales hasta métodos de construcción adaptados al clima y al patrimonio. Experiencia en proyectos académico-participativos »Design-Build«, sobretodo en Bolivia.
Actualmente dirige un grupo de investigación interdisciplinario en la HSBO en cooperación con la Ruhr Universität Bochum en torno al tema »arquitectura sostenible mínima«. Paralelamente es investigadora post-doc de la cátedra »taller arquitectónico y tipologías« Prof. Jacob van Rijs de la TUB. Alex Hinds
Alex was a USA Fulbright recipient in Ecuador who went on to serve as director of planning and community development-related agencies for over 24 years in Marin, San Luis Obispo, and Lake counties. He led the trend setting 2007 Marin Countywide Plan Update and related sustainability program that received top California and United States awards. Alex currently serves as an International Director for APA California Northern Section. In that capacity, he co-authored Purposeful Travel: A Planners Toolkit for Initiating International Collaboration. Recent international projects include organizing presentations to the municipal government of São Paulo, Brazil on regional governance and planning practices as well as public outreach and capacity building in Ouro Preto, Brazil. Alex continues to teach classes at Sonoma State University and serves as a senior consultant for their Center for Sustainable Communities, where he works with faculty, students and others assisting local communities. Alex is a member of the California Planning Roundtable and a former President of the California County Planning Directors Association. Alex received a BA at the University of Hawaii in Liberal Studies focused on applied ecology, and a Master degree in Social Science from United States International University specializing in cross-cultural community environmental management.
Hing Wong, AICP
Hing is a former President of the California Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA California). Hing is currently the Vice President of the California Planning Foundation, which raises money for planning student scholarships. He is also an International Director of APA California Northern Section where he organizes educational international planning tours. Recent tours include Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, and a tour is being planned for The Middle East. Hing worked at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for over three decades on regional and sub-regional planning issues in the San Francisco Bay Area. Projects included Plan Bay Area/Sustainable Communities Strategy, developing the Regional Housing Need Allocation (RHNA) methodology, analyzing and forecasting data for the ABAG Projections document, and preparing regional reports on housing, land use, and transportation issues. Hing also teaches graduate planning courses at San José State University on geographic analysis, planning policies, and quantitative methodology. Hing received a Bachelor in Geography: Urban/Economics at UC Berkeley and a Master in Urban and Regional Planning at San José State University.
David Silva
Lawyer with a master’s and doctoral degree in planning at University College London, and a master’s degree from both the Universities of Chile and the Catholic University of Chile. He has developed most of his professional career in the public sphere such as consultant for the National Commission for the Environment, lawyer in the Recoleta Municipality, in the Higher Education Council, in the Ministry of Planning (currently Ministry of Social Development), in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and as Head of Cabinet in the Superintendency of the Environment. He also served as Councilor of the Providencia Municipality. He has been a lecturer at the Adolfo Ibáñez University, at the Diego Portales University and at the Catholic University, among others. He currently practices the profession at Correa & Silva Abogados and is President of the Chilean Planners Network, PlanRed.
Roberto Moris
He is an architect of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Master in City Design and Social Sciences of the London School of Economics, and Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada. He is an expert on integrated planning, carrying capacity models, sustainability, and resilience. He has worked with the UNDP, World Bank, and IADB. He was Technical Secretary of the Cities and Territory Ministers Committee and National Director of Urban Projects at the Chilean Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. He was responsible for the creation of the first Urban Planning academic program in Chile and the founder of the Chilean Planners Network. He is a professor at the School of Architecture and the Institute of Urban and Territorial Studies. He was Principal Investigator of the National Research Center for Integrated Risk Management, Director of Cities Observatory UC, and the Plans and Urban Projects Program UC. He is co-founder of the Chilean Planners Network. Suzanne Hague, AICP
Suzanne is the Deputy Director for Planning and Community Development for the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research. She leads, coordinates, and supports policy development related to land use and sustainable, equitable growth; housing, transportation, and infrastructure; infill development and finance; local and regional planning; community-based investment; and social and racial equity. Suzanne has over two decades of experience working at the neighborhood, local, state, and national levels. With professional background in the fields of social work and architecture, Suzanne cut her teeth as a planner in post-Hurricane-Katrina New Orleans, later led a national advocacy coalition for federal funds to support neighborhood revitalization, and served in the Obama White House’s Strong Cities, Strong Communities initiative – a national pilot program supporting economic revitalization in cities. Suzanne holds a Master of Urban Planning from Harvard University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the California Planning Roundtable.
Diana Benitez
Diana is an Intermediate Planner at Raimi + Associates. She is also the Planners4Health Coordinator for the Northern Section of APA California. Diana conducts research, engagement, analysis, and visualization to address disparities and create healthy, affordable, and safe communities. Her research contributions have included greenhouse gas reductions, student equity need indices, early care and education, health equity and racial disparities analyses. She previously worked as a Research and Data Analyst at Advancement Project California, a next generation civil rights organization. Diana received a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs with a focus in community economic development and the intersection of the built environment and health. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and a minor in Geographic Information Sciences from California University Northridge
Miguel Angel Vazquez, AICP
Miguel is one of the first certified planners hired by a public health department in the nation. His role at the Riverside University Health System-Public Health is to strengthen the integration of planning and health through collaboration with non-traditional partners. He currently serves as co-chair of the Riverside County Healthy City Network and co-chair of the Riverside County Active Transportation Network. His professional memberships include the American Planning Association (APA), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), the California Planning Roundtable (CPR), and Planners4Health California. For nearly 20 years, he has provided professional planning and community development services to the private, public, and military sectors. Miguel’s work product, creativity and advocacy has been recognized with awards from the American Planning Association at the national, state and local levels – including the 2018 APA President’s Award for his work on diversity and inclusion within the profession. Miguel received a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from California State University, Northridge and he is a fellow of the California Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health.
